Happy Monday and happy Fall, y’all!

Boy would I love to be in Minnesota this month as the leaves are changing color!

All my family members live in the #4 band on that chart, but we won’t be there at this time this year. 🙁 We were thinking about going in late November, so Steevensoncan see snow for his 6th birthday, but my relatives tell me they haven’t even had snow on Christmas the past couple of years! Myaunt said if we want to see snow, we should wait til January or February. My how times have changed since I was a kid and snowed in on Halloween up there!

Back to Fall though…

There’s lots of Fall centerpiece inspiration floating around the web right now, but it seems like so many of the ideas would cost of small fortune, wouldn’t last more than a day or two, and/or wouldn’t be easy to move if you wanted to use the center of the table for food. But I’ve been looking at my table thinking I want something that’s pretty, affordable, easy to create, and that will last all season (or longer), so I thought I’d put together a collection of that kind of inspiration here today, and then post my own idea on Friday.

1. Wheat + pitcher + tray + mini pumpkins

I love the palette of that one. The warm wheat paired with the cool white and metals…gorgeous! And Janet’s grainsack style table runner is the perfect finishing touch. Here’s a link to her post about the project: How To Style A French Farmhouse Table

2. Faux pumpkins + dried hydrangeas + apple basket + Kraft paper + books + Fall leaves + wooden tray

Cherished Bliss

I love how Ashley created dimension by starting with varied heights of stacked books covered by brown Kraft paper. Softening all the holes with fallen leaves is such a great (free!) idea too! Here’s a link to here step by step: A Simple Fall Centerpiece

3. Lace doily + pumpkin + lantern + mini pumpkins + asparagus fern

That lace doily idea stopped me dead in my scroll! So pretty! Here’s a link to Ann’s post: Mod Podge Lace Pumpkin.

4. Faux magnolia blossoms + faux pumpkin + stump slice + rattan charger + glitter acorns + mini pumpkins:

Kristi and Kelli knocked my socks off with that one. What a pretty, neutral display! Here’s a link to their post about it: DIY Magnolia Pumpkin.

5. Pumpkins + large wooden bowl + vase filler items + faux sprigs

Wow! I love the idea of using a vintage crate. Here’s a link to April’s tutorial: DIY Fall Centerpiece

*Sigh*. Is that a breath of fresh (Fall) air or what? It’s a Loithai creation and you can find it here: Instagram.com/Loithai.

Aren’t those great? 😀 I’ll be back Friday with whatever I come up with this week!

Yikes. Feels like one of those, “if you don’t have anything nice to say…” moments. 🙁 Folks are inspired by all kinds of things and God gives us *every* color…even the monochromatic ones. 😉 Glad you were inspired by the lantern idea though!

Layla, this is one of favorite posts you’ve done. Today’s my birthday and it was a nice unintentional gift. Fall is my favorite.

Layla, thank you SO much for featuring my centerpiece! I was completely floored when I saw that on insta-stories today! You made my week! xo

Thank you, this post is just what I needed. In spite of the 93 degree temp here in WI today, I am so in the mood to start autumn decor. Your post + the cooler temps predicted should equal some fall feeling around our home.

We’ve just come out of Autumn here in Australia and into Spring. Weather here is crazy! Snow a few weeks ago by the coast of Victoria! Boiling hot one day then freezing cold the next, bushfires this early in the season, (used to be February was the height of fires now it is earlier and earlier every year!) makes getting out seasonal clothes really tricky.

We don’t do the ‘Fall’ decorating here as our pumpkin harvest is completely the wrong timing to you guys. I love all the Fall decorations though. Always makes me wish I were back in USA. I got told by one American that the best time to see the trees changing colour was mid to late October. It has been on my list to go see for many years, but with all this climate rigmarole I do wonder when it really is the best time to go? Oh well, enjoy your break there no matter when you go and see snow!

Thanks, Maryjane. It seems like I remember you not being drawn to mono-chromatic palettes from comments you’ve left on previous posts. To each his own though, right? My centerpiece idea for Jim and Katie’s (white) table will be colorful, but all-white decor *does* get me excited, so I think I’m inspired to create one of those for the (dark brown) table in our part of the house. 🙂
