While my recipe calls for powdered sugar to top the cake, you can add fresh berries, chocolate, or most any drizzle you like.

Perfect for morning coffee or a before-bed snack. This Classic Vanilla Bundt Cake tastes even better when slightly warmed before eating.

This is an easy vanilla bundt cake recipe that doesn’t take long to make.

Try these baking tips:

How do you keep a bundt cake from sticking to the pan?

Try and purchase a non-stick cake pan. Grease the pan just before adding the batter for a better coating.

Also, do not flour the pan. If you must coat it with something, try a thin layer of granulated sugar as a barrier.

How full should I fill a Bundt pan?

Only fill your Bundt pan 2/3 full of batter. This will ensure that your batter will not overflow while rising.

What is the secret to getting a Bundt cake out? ›

The Best Trick For Releasing a Cake From a Bundt Pan

Usually the cake likes to cling to the tube in the middle, so nudging it loose there can be all it takes. After doing this, carefully flip the bundt pan over and lightly shake it.

How do you jazz up a Bundt cake? ›

Drizzle with a Glaze or Sauce

Save the buttercream for another day because the very best, and easiest, way to decorate a Bundt cake (beyond powdered sugar, of course) is drizzling a glaze or simple sauce over the top. You see, Bundt cakes are simply stunning the way they are.

What makes a Bundt cake different from regular cake? ›

A Bundt cake is baked in a fluted tube pan that is circular with a hole in the middle. It resembles a doughnut. Bundt cakes are deeper than regular cakes. The Bundt cake needs to be more moist than a regular cake because the cake mold heats faster than a regular round or square cake pan.

How long should you cool a bundt cake before removing from the pan? ›

After removing from the oven, place the pan on a wire rack and let cool; your recipe will specify the required time, usually from 10-20 minutes. This allows the cake to become firm enough to remove from the pan without breaking apart. Cooling too long in the pan will cause the cake to be damp and stick to the pan.

Do you flip a bundt cake right out of the oven? ›

When you remove your cake from the oven, don't flip it out of the pan right away! Instead, let the cake cool for ten minutes in the pan. Then, placing the wire rack over the base of the cake, invert the pan.

Can you use Pam to grease a bundt pan? ›

Yes, we recommend prepping Bundt® and cakes pan with *BAKING SPRAY, which is a spray that has flour in it already, such as “Baker's Joy” or “Pam for Baking.” For pans with intricate designs, a baking spray works well to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Should a Bundt cake be cooled upside down? ›

Once your cake is baked, you'll want to get it out of the pan fairly quickly. Remove the cake from the oven and set a timer for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, place a wire cooling rack upside-down on the exposed side of the cake. Use oven mitts to hold the pan and cooling rack together as you invert the pan onto the rack.

Will cooking spray work in a bundt pan? ›

Spray inside of pan with baking spray that contains flour. DO NOT use regular cooking spray, as it gums up the nonstick on your pan and is not meant for releasing sugars.

How do you make a Bundt cake rise higher? ›

To make a box cake mix rise higher, try using a smaller pan, adding an extra egg, using milk instead of water, adding baking powder, mixing for longer, using room temperature ingredients, baking at a higher temperature, or using cake strips.

Can you put 2 boxes of cake mix in a bundt pan? ›

A box cake mix can be baked in a Bundt cake pan, but if made in the 12 cup pan the cake will turn out a bit on the short side. Two boxes of cake mix will create a taller cake. Just be sure to only fill the cake pan until it is ⅔-¾ full. If there is any leftover batter use it to make cupcakes.

Can I leave cake in a bundt pan overnight? ›

Make sure you are using a non stick bundt pan. Do not cool your cake overnight in the pan.

Can I substitute a tube pan for a Bundt pan? ›
