My husband and I love this recipe, we don't like things real sweet and it was just right. Sometimes I will use chicken thighs but is is delicious with either. Great meal

Definitely not what I was expecting. I found it to be not sweet enough and so complex in flavor that it overwhelmed my taste buds and not in a good way.

Easy to make and absolutely delicious. I slightly flattened chicken breasts and grilled on a stove top grill pan. The sauce is amazing. Husband loved it.

I have no idea what some of these people are talking about. My picky, anti-everything 15-year-old requests this dish every other night. She hates spicy, sweet, chicken, air, talking to others, participating and the fact that life does not do everything she thinks it should. But she likes this chicken. A lot. Thank God.

I liked the idea of this chicken, but the end result wasn't worth even the minimal effort to make it. The rub and sauce have very little dimension; it needs some additional spices, not just more of the ones already present. My homemade BBQ sauce has much more complex flavors and takes only a few minutes to make. Sorry, but we weren't impressed.

I thought this was fantastic! It's a real keeper. My husband loved it too. I'm not even an experienced griller, but the timing was just right. The sauce is different from what I buy at the store. The cola makes the difference; and by mistake, I bought diet cola. But it was fine. I also thought the spices were just right, not overly spicy. So I guess some readers like it really hot. I made a salad with a CL Thousand Island dressing, roasted green beans, and rice made with chicken broth and onions. Made the recipe as is so I have enought for another meal.

We enjoyed this a lot. Per other readers suggestions I doubled the spices (CL a tends to be on the bland side) and brined the chicken so didn't include the salt. We thoroughly enjoyed this and will definitely add it to the summer rotation.

Pretty good, but nothing fantastic. I liked the sauce, but actually thought it was a bit on the sweet side - better once I added some tabasco on my plate. Surprisingly, my 3 year old didn't like it - thought it was too spicy (admittedly, she is VERY spice sensitive; guess even the chili was too much).

Very bland and boring flavorful. The sauce was not exciting to eat.

I don't see why everyone likes this so much. This recipe was just okay. I used a generic cola which may have made a difference. The cola sauce is just a barbecue sauce, nothing special. I'd rather save the 15-20 minutes spent making a barbecue sauce and just use whatever I can buy at the grocery store.

I used smoky paprika na dmade this on a grill pan and it was really, really good... maybe "outstanding." It was very, very tasty. I made the rub and sauce the night before so the cooking was pretty quick. I would certainly recommend it.

I used shallots instead of onion and regular paprika instead of the sweet paprika. The only other variation was to leave the rub on the chicken for 2 hours before grilling on our Traeger grill. This was a fabulous-tasting sauce. I served along side a black bean and corn salad (also from Cooking Light) and the family loved it. The left over chicken was sliced and put on top of a salad and was served with light ranch dressing for an awesome lunch the next day. Definitely a keeper of a recipe and I wouldn't hesitate to serve it for guests. Bet the sauce would be excellent with pork too.

Delicious variation on BBQ chicken. My family also loved it....served it with dijon mashed potatoes, steamed baby carrots, and a Seghesio pinot noir. I didn't have dark brown sugar or sweet paprika, so used light br. sugar and regular paprika. Didn't seem to make any difference. Will definitely make this again.

This is a definite keeper! Not only is it delicious, but it is quick & easy! I had all of the ingredients on hand, so this will be a great "go to" recipe when I don't have any supper plans. My family loved it (including my 3 & 6 year olds), and it is an easy way to have BBQ chicken on a weeknight! I served it with mac & cheese and steamed green beans.

My husband and I eat a lot -- and I mean a lot -- of chicken, and this was a great way to kick it up a notch on the grill. Like one other reviewer, I did the rub several hours before, and after basting, we had just enough of the glaze left over to pour on the chicken at the table. My husband and I are both big fans, and it's super easy to make (even on a weeknight)! Will probably become a staple in our house!

Great Recipe. The sauce was really tangy. I prepared he sauce and rubbed the chicken a few hours before we were going to BBQ. I also doubled the sauce recipe, but had more than enough. Definitely going to use this recipe again. Maybe Labor Day BBQ or Superbowl.

Wonderful twist on BBQ chicken. I used Diet Pepsi in place of the "cola." I had a shallot on hand which needed to be used, in place of the onion. I added a pinch of cayenne to the sauce for some sweet heat. This was great - my husband complimented the recipe several times throughout dinner. We had grilled zucchini with it. Will add this to the rotation!
