What’s The Work?[]
The Walking Dead was a long running Zombie Apocalypse show created by AMC and adapted from Robert Kirkman’s comic book. We focus on Police Officer Rick Grimes who woken up from a coma to the zombie apocalypse and must survive and protect his family towards both the undead horde and the people, who can be just as evil as the dead. We’ll be talking about a villain from the season 5 premiere, No Sanctuary, where Rick and the group are trapped inside a cannibalistic community known as Terminus and break out.
No one from Terminus counts, but the man who caused it? Hell yeah.
Who is He? Why Does He do?[]
The Crazed Man is seemingly an insane survivor stuck inside a train cart by Terminus, who Rick saves while busting out of the community during the Walker invasion. The man attacks Rick and laughs and shouts about them “being the same” before he is promptly attacked and eaten by a zombie and put down by Glenn. Why am I talking about this minor guy who just died?
Well, it’s revealed that this man isn’t actually just an innocent survivor. He was a sad*stic head of a group to survivors Terminus took in months ago. It’s revealed that Terminus let The Man and is people in graciously and in return? The man forcibly took over Terminus, locking their residence inside train carts before proceeding to have residents tortured, raped, killed over the course of weeks while they laughed and taunted them. At the ending flashback, we see a bit of this horrific scenario, with a train cart of residence cramped and in the dark, with Mary, the leader, being thrown in by The Man just after she was raped and the man picking another woman to be next, who is then dragged away screaming. Mary’s mother, Gareth, comforts her mother and tells her “it will all be okay” only for the Man to kneel down, smile, says that it won’t be okay, and hits him in the face before walking out.
Fortunately, Terminus fought back, killed their attackers and proceeded to imprison The Crazed Man inside a train cart, like he did to all them. Unfortunately, the actions of the man run deep as Terminus, traumatized and hardened in the experience, become a group of cannibals who kill any survivors who come across them, due to no longer being able to trust them.
Mitigating Factors?[]
Nope. Dude is just sad*stic monster who’s fate of being driven insane through imprisonment not being made anywhere near sympathetic.
Heinous Standard?[]
The work if full of degenerates, such as Governor, Alpha, Jeremiah Otto and others, and we even have season 4’s Joe, a leader of a group of survivors who rape and kill whoever they “claim” so it’s a high heinous standard, but Crazed Man pushes. He’s only a leader of a small group do bandits and appears twice, once in real time, and it’s revealed to have taken over an entire community and proceeded tp torture, rape and kill them for weeks all for sadism, with a supreme effect on them all to the point they all became hardened and insane. And a flashback gives us a perfect glimpse into their hellish nightmare. So overall, for pure scale and time frame alone, he counts.
