Igloo recall overview:
- Who: Igloo is recalling 31,500 of its youth sipper bottles.
- Why: The silicone cover on the sipper can detach, leading to a choking hazard.
- Where: The Igloo youth sipper bottles recall is valid across the United States.
Igloo has recalled 31,500 of its youth sipper bottles because the silicone cover on the sipper can detach, leading to a choking hazard.
The 12-ounce Igloo youth sipper bottles come in with a pink top and purple body, purple top and pink body, blue top and green body and green top and blue body.
Igloo says it has not received one report of the silicone sleeve coming off but no reports of injury related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the Igloo recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Igloo recall: Bottles can be returned for store credit, replacement or gift card
Igloo is asking consumers to stop using the bottles and contact the company for a refund or replacement. Igloo is also advising consumers to cut the silicone spout in two pieces and then take a photo of the pieces before discarding them.
Customers with the original receipt can send it and the photos to customerservice@igloocooler.com for a full refund to their original payment method, a $15 store credit or replacement bottle. Those without the receipt can still receive the store credit or a replacement.
Customers who purchased the bottles at Rural King can receive a replacement, $15 credit or gift card, while those who purchased at Academy Sports + Outdoors can return the bottles to stores for a full refund, $15 credit or gift card.
FENGM issued a recall for around 84,000 of its Tiblue brand 8- and 12-ounce stainless steel children’s cups sold exclusively on Amazon.com over concerns they contain lead in excess of federally allowed levels.
