Meet Dr. Woody Witt: Saxophonist, Educator, and Composer. I first featured Austin Gatuswhen he was just 22 years old, and even then, he had already amassed numerous accomplishments. Fast forward five years later, at #theNAMMShow2024, and witnessing how far he has come is truly remarkable.Austin has performed with #DaveKoz locally here in Los Angeles, as well as on the Dave Koz Smooth Jazz Cruises to Europe and Alaska. He sat in with the #AverageWhiteBand a couple of times on a recent tour, and was a featured artist with #KennyG with the Orange County Symphony and San Diego Symphony. In a recent appearance, Austin joined #HarryStyles band as part of the horn section headlining #Coachella.Austin, a cancer survivor, performs at charity events helping to fight kids’ cancer, having performed for the #StarlightFoundation and Rady’s Children’s Hospital.Austin does additional work in film & theatre composition.
