Tour
The private entrance features an attractive Portuguese tiled floor and space for a wardrobe. The living room boasts a cozy ensuite and a natural stone fireplace in the seating area. The eat-in kitchen (2018) is timeless with white handleless drawers and a composite worktop. The kitchen is equipped with modern built-in appliances such as a robust gas stove with oven, Quooker, and dishwasher. Riverhome 45
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of selling various apartments in the Rivierenbuurt, each with its own unique character and charm. This highly charming and meticulously maintained ground floor apartment of approximately 108 m² stands out due to its original 1930s features, robust extension, three well-sized bedrooms, and delightful southwest-facing garden.
The bright apartment boasts a ceiling height of 3.12 meters and is situated on a part of the street where the opposite side features front gardens, allowing for more light. These two aspects combined contribute to an airy and luminous atmosphere.
The current owners have enjoyed living here for over thirteen years, and perhaps this lovely home will become your new residence.

Design vision
The Rivierenbuurt is part of Plan Zuid, constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. The urban development plan was designed by architect H.P. Berlage, with buildings predominantly in the recognizable Amsterdam School style. Renowned architects such as Margaret Staal-Kropholler, Michel de Klerk, and Piet Kramer contributed to the creation of these structures. Uithoornstraat is named after the town of Uithoorn.

Living and cooking
The living room has retained its original charm thanks to the elegant en-suite layout and the natural stone fireplace in the sitting area. Positioned at the front of the house, the sitting area allows the spacious kitchen to directly connect with the sturdy extension at the rear.
The inviting kitchen, renovated in 2018, exudes timeless elegance with white handleless drawers and a composite worktop. The island is the perfect spot for breakfast or enjoying a drink while cooking. The kitchen is equipped with modern built-in appliances, including a robust gas stove with oven, a Quooker, and a dishwasher.
The rear extension, also completed in 2018, has created a more spacious living area. This refined addition houses a large dining table, a delightful spot for shared meals, with sunlight streaming in beautifully throughout the day. The daylight here is truly magnificent.
For the en-suite room, a rustic wooden floor was chosen, adding warmth and character. In contrast, the extension features a sleek poured floor with underfloor heating, providing modern comfort and a contemporary aesthetic.

The third bedroom, located at the front of the apartment, benefits from the quiet street, making it ideal as an additional bedroom or a home office. This bedrooms features a walk-in closet.
The contemporary bathroom, renovated in 2018, is cleverly designed to maximize space. The carefully selected tiles and the vanity unit give the bathroom a calm and understated look. The fully equipped bathroom includes a bathtub, a shower, and a double sink, with underfloor heating adding an extra touch of comfort.
